I'm Back!!

I am so sorry it has been so long since I last posted. But I am back now and hope to be able to post a lot more. I have a couple of months before I go back to TAFE, so with no study or assignments due I want to make up for lost time in my craft room. I am getting back into the groove with a few challenges this week.

The first is from Sunny Challenges and is a sketch for a male theme card. Now I know this stamp set in not available at the moment I am really hopeful that I will come back in the new catalogue. I have used th esimply scored tool to create lines for texture on the background mat. So easy yet so effective.

Project Recipe
Stamp set: The Open sea, Oval all
Card: Early espresso, soft suede, cajun craze, not quite navy and whisper white
Ink: Not quite navy, soft suede and cajun craze
Accessories: Well worn dsp, simply scored board, large oval punch

Sunny challenge guest Designer

I was honoured to be asked again by the ladies at Sunny challenges to be a guest designer for this week. There is a sketch and colours old olive and Chocolate chip, two colours I have been neglecting lately in favour of some of the new colours.
I have embossed the snowflakes on the background and the tree with iridescent ice embossing powder which gives it a lovely sparkle, but never seems to photograph well. If someone has any tips for showing sparkles I would love to know them!

Project Recipe
Stamp: Snow Swirled
Card: Choc chip, old olive and very vanilla
Accessories: Iridescent ice embossing powder, dots embossing folder, scallop circle punch, twill tape and self adhesive rhinestones

Colour Challenge

I love this colour combo from Sunny Challenges, cherry cobbler, marina mist and river rock. They just seem so right for a boy card. Boy cards always are a bit plain for me, no fancy ribbon or bling, so I have coated the guitars in crystal effects to give a bit of shine.

We have moved into the new house and my craft room is all unpacked and set up (before the kitchen!) so I am back creating. This is the first card created in the new house!

Project Recipe
Stamp: Extreme elements and grunge rock
Card: Cherry cobbler, marina mist and river rock
Ink: cherry cobbler and marina mist
Accessories: Stripes embossing folder, wide oval punch and crystal effects

UnConvention #5

Another challenge, this time to use three different dsp packs. I chose well worn, flirtatious specialty and cheerful treat hostess paper to create this flower pot card. I also used the little leaves sizzlit die and blossom party die.
