Embossing..and lots of it!

The lovely ladies at Sunny challenges have given me another opportunity to be a guest designer. Along with a great sketch, the instruction this week is embossing. This is my favourite technique for adding texture and dimension to any project.

I have used both dry embossing (using a folder and the big shot) and heat embossing (using powder and the heat gun). I couldn't decide between gold or silver powder so thought 'what the heck!' and used both! I also sponged around the edges of the background embossing as this helps to make it stand out.

So make sure you check out the challenge and have a go.  I am in Bali at the moment, but will be checking in on what everyone is making.

Easel Card

I love making these easel cards. They are so easy, but the unusual fold gives a real Wow! to the card. The sketch has come from Sunny challenges with the added instruction this week  to make an easel card. The ladies have included a link to the instructions, so I won't put one here. My box of new products arrived yesterday so I put them straight to work!

Black and White

Once again I have been asked to be a guest designer for Sunny Challenges. I love their challenges and try to do them each week. This week there is a sketch and the added challenge of only using black and white! Take a look and I hope you will join in the fun this week.

I have stamped and white embossed the flower three times, then cut the petals in three layers giving a wonderful  3D effect.
