Guest Designer!

A couple of weeks ago I received an email from Vicki at Sunny Challenges inviting me to be a guest designer for this week's challenge. An honour I was willing to do, even though I was a bit nervous at the thought. So here is the sketch and the instructions are to use in colours.

Project Recipe
Stamps: Field flowers and Faith in nature (hostess)
Card: Pear pizzaz, wisteria wonder, concord crush and whisper white
Ink: concord crush, wisteria wonder, versamark and whisper white craft
Accessories: Framed tulips embossing folder, gold embossing powder, gold brads and pear pizzaz seam binding ribbon
Tools: sponges, stamp-a-ma-jig, big shot, heat gun

Window Card

This week's Sunny Challenge has taken me a bit outside my comfort zone (the whole point of a challenge I guess!). The idea is to put a window somewhere on the card so that you can see inside the card. For me that meant a single layer card only, something I really struggle with. I do like lots of layers! But I think this one looks really pretty. You can't see it in the photo but I have glittered all the 3d flowers and it sparkles lovely in the light.

Ink: Wild wasabi, regal rose, rose red and marina mist
Accessories: dazzling diamonds, crystal effects and decorative label punch

Retired Stuff

It isn't often I will put up something that has retired product as a main feature, but the SAB dsp really is the most gorgeous paper that it deserves an extra showing! The sketch is from Sunny Challenges and is great for using up those bits and pieces of dsp you have laying around. The sentiment is mounted using the new Framelit dies available in the new mini.

Ink: Soft suede, peach parfait, lucky limeade and tea stain distressing ink
Accessories: Framelits dies, Retired dsp, soft suede taffeta ribbon, vintage wallpaper embossing folder, distressing kit (how did I manage before I got this kit!)

Vintage Flower

I have combined two challenges for this card. The Colour challenge from Just Add Ink and the sketch is from Sunny challenges. I even got to use one of my new stamps for the sentiment.

Card: Crumb cake, pink pirouette, choc chip and very vanilla
Ink: Choc chip, crumb cake marker and tea stain (from the distressing kit)
Accessories: Elegant lines embossing folder, Fun flower die, boho blossom punch, glimmer brad, square scallop punch, gold spritz, gold brads, spritzer tool

Happy Anniversary!

This one is for my husband Matt as we celebrate our 12th Wedding Anniversary today!
The sketch comes from Stamping 411 sketch challenge. I have used my new Simply scored board to create the rosettes, the hardest part was getting them to stick to the backing circle. I found crystal effects as a glue works best.

Another sketch challenge

I actually got 2 cards done yesterday! This one is for the Stamping 411 Saturday sketch challenge. I dragged out a favourite stamp set that hadn't seen ink for awhile for this one. An oldie but a goodie as they say!

It has been forever since I got the chance to do any kind of creating, but the sketch from Sunny challenges was too good to miss.
