Less is Best

Less is best is definitely my thought when it comes to making a birthday card for my husband. He is definitely not one for fancy ribbon or any too elaborate, so this simple card is perfect for him. It looked a little too flat to start with so I just stamped a few extra images on separate card, cut then out and popped them on with a few dimensionals to give a bit more depth. The leaves are this week's challenge at Just Add Ink.

Project Recipe
Stamps: French foliage and Curly cute (both retiring)
Card: More mustard, riding hood red and river rock (all retiring)
Ink: more mustard, choc chip and riding hood red

  1. French Foliage not only lends itself to our challenge this week, but as you know Carole, it is also fabulous for a manly birthday card! I know your husband will love it. Thanks for playing at JAI this week.

  2. Very nice, Carole - perfect for your special man, and perfect for our challenge at Just Add Ink! The "popped up" leaves look great.

  3. Great card Carole. Love this set & will be very sorry to see it go. Must agree with Christine - the leaves popping look fantastic.

  4. Lovely masculine card Carole! Thanks so much for playing along with us at JAI this week.
