#GDP 033 Colour challenge

I needed to make a card for my father-in-law's birthday tomorrow and the colours in this week's Gloabl design project were perfect for a masculine card. I have used 4 different stamps sets for this card and see the little round paper clip on the edge of the sentiment banner? That came from a very old box of SU hodgepodge hardware!

Project Recipe
Stamps: Timeless texture, Work of art, Gorgeous grunge and Butterfly basics
Card: Sahara sand, night of navy and calypso coral
Ink: Sahara sand, night of navy and calypso coral
Accessories: Banner framelits, linen thread and hodgepodge paper clip

Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge

Some things I learnt when heat embossing on vellum:

1. the effect is beautiful and so easy to colour, but
2. the vellum warps a bit with the heat making it difficult to cut straight.

That is why I had to have three tries at making this card for the Just Add Ink sketch challenge!

Project Recipe
Stamps: Helping me grow and butterfly basics
Card: crumb cake, cherry cobbler, old olive and vellum cardstock
Ink: Versamark, cherry cobbler and old olive
Accessories: gold brads, gold embossing powder and cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon
