Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge

Some things I learnt when heat embossing on vellum:

1. the effect is beautiful and so easy to colour, but
2. the vellum warps a bit with the heat making it difficult to cut straight.

That is why I had to have three tries at making this card for the Just Add Ink sketch challenge!

Project Recipe
Stamps: Helping me grow and butterfly basics
Card: crumb cake, cherry cobbler, old olive and vellum cardstock
Ink: Versamark, cherry cobbler and old olive
Accessories: gold brads, gold embossing powder and cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon

  1. Oooooh three tries is a bit of a pain. Next time you heat emboss vellum pop it under something heavy for a few hours and it'll flatten out nicely. That's what I do. Not so good if you're keen to get your project finished though...

I LOVE the gold embossing, and that you've used a single image and cut it to fit the sketch. Awesome! Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week. x
